2019 NATIONAL CONVENTION

We are excited to announce that Las Vegas, Nevada, is host city for the annual convention of the National Federation of the Blind. Thousands of blind people will be heading to Las Vegas to attend the convention from Sunday, July 7th to Friday, July 12th. You can visit www.nfb.org to pre-register for the convention beginning March 1st, or you may register on-site starting July 8th. (Pre-registration rates are discounted.)
In addition to well-known featured speakers and an enormous exhibit hall filled with technology, literature, and services, there will be numerous special interest meetings, including... seminars for parents and teachers of blind children... meetings for blind high school and college students... professional development opportunities for individuals working in the field of blindness… activities and learning opportunities for blind youth… a job fair with prospective employers from a variety of fields… meetings for blind diabetics... workshops for those interested in computers and technology... meetings for various professionals, and much more! Social activities will be scheduled throughout the week as well.
This year’s convention will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Room rates, as always, are phenomenal: singles, doubles, triples, and quads at $99 a night, plus tax (which is presently 13.38%). The resort fee will be waived for convention attendees. A deposit of first night’s room rate is required to make a reservation with a credit card or personal check. Fifty percent of the deposit will be refunded if notice is given to the hotel of a reservation cancellation before June 1, 2019. The other 50% is not refundable.
