Winter 2007 | From the President's Desk
I am pleased to say that 2006 was a less challenging year than 2005. While many of our members were still struggling with the effects of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, life began to get back to normal for most of us.
The North Central Chapter played host to a very successful State Convention and 20th anniversary celebration for LCB, and our members participated in many other state and national activities. The good news is that 2007 has started off as an even better year.
We have just returned from the 2007 Washington Seminar, and we are looking forward to a wonderful convention in Metairie. Dr. Frederic K. Schroeder will serve as our national representative, and the program is shaping up to be a really good one. You can read much more about the convention later in this newsletter
You will also see an update of the issues discussed at the Washington Seminar, new information about the K-NFB Reader and NFB Newsline®. Read on, and I will see you in Metairie .
